The Bail Verification and Supervision Program serves two principles upon which our democratic justice system is based: the presumption of innocence before conviction, and the fair equitable treatment of all people regardless of social and economic background. The Bail Program puts these principles into practice on behalf of people accused of criminal offences.

This mandate governs all the Ministry funded bail programs in Ontario , providing support for persons over the age of 15. The number of programs has recently been expanded and now includes Waterloo Region, Toronto, Newmarket, Hamilton, Barrie, Brampton, St. Catharines, Ottawa, Cornwall, London, Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie, Orangeville, Milton, Brantford, Oshawa, Thunder Bay, and Windsor.
